Steward Nominations & Elections
The Local 459 constitution calls for Stewards and Alternates to be elected in November of odd number years. Stewards are elected by the members that are serviced by that steward.

You can nominate yourself or someone else by calling the Local 459 office, 887-8844 or faxing your nomination to 887-8848.

Uncontested seats will be taken to the Executive Board meeting for appointment.

Contested races will be decided by an election to be held in November.

Delegates to 2010 Convention Elected
The 2010 OPEIU International Convention is being held in Las Vegas Nevada from June 28 – July 1, 2010.

Delegates to the convention were elected by the members at the membership meeting October 13, 2009. The delegates are: Kevin Nix, Joseph Marutiak, Cindy Jeffries, Mary Richards and Kim Krohn.

At the meeting the membership also voted to approve the Executive Boards recommendations on what expenses to pay for delegates.

Executive Board Elected
The election of the Executive Board was held at the Membership Meeting October 13, 2009. Because there was only one person running for each seat, the election was held by acclamation.
